Pathania takes over as deputy chief whip
Kullu: Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania assumed the charge of deputy chief whip on Thursday.
Pathania has been active in politics since 1987, starting his career in the National Students' Union of India and worked in various positions in the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee.
From 2012 to 2017, Pathania was a member of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation.

In 2012, he also served as the vice chairman of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation.
Pathania later said in a statement that he would work closely with colleagues to “achieve the goals of the Congress party”.
He expressed gratitude to Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for their support.
