Why securing Coldplay concert tickets was a ‘big thing’ for Munjal

Coldplay's concert announcement in India last week triggered a wave of excitement among fans. Social media platforms were also abuzz with discussions about the upcoming Mumbai show, with fans sharing their enthusiasm and strategising to get tickets.
The overwhelming demand for the tickets to the UK-band’s upcoming show in Mumbai on BookMyShow even caused a temporary crash on the platform which left many fans disappointed. There were instances when social media users shared screenshots of huge waiting queues for the ticket.

The buzz even prompted reminiscing about the band's chart-topping hits and legendary performances. Munjal's post added to this excitement.
This marks Coldplay's return to India after their 2016 performance in Mumbai. The UK band is set to perform three concerts at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on 18, and 19, 2025. Following the overwhelming demand, the band later announced a third concert on January 21, 2025. Tickets were priced from Rs 2,500 to Rs 12,500, were sold through BookMyShow.
