Ludhiana: Members of the gurdwara management committee and park management committee of Sarabha Nagar Block A&B met MC commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal in Zone D on Monday. They drew the attention of the commissioner to the deteriorating condition of roads in the posh Sarabha Nagar area.
The committee members told the MC commissioner that roads in Sarabha Nagar area were reconstructed about two-and-a-half years ago and were initially in good condition.
However, in the name of development works, the good roads had been dug up. The main roads of Block A&B had been dug up to lay water supply line.
Even as several months have passed, these roads have not been repaired.
Apart from this, another problem is the horticultural waste coming from the parks daily. The residents have stated that during the tenure of the previous government, parks were being managed properly and the MC employees used to take away the horticultural waste without being told to do so. However, at present the employees are reportedly forced to work under political pressure and even after being told repeatedly, they do not remove the waste from parks. The MC commissioner have assured the residents to get the issues resolved as soon as possible.
