PGI financial advisor returns to parent cadre

Chandigarh: PGI’s financial advisor Varun Ahluwalia has returned to his parent cadre, Delhi. Not even a year had passed since he got posted in the PGI and his sudden decision to go back to his parent cadre has surprised everyone. Sources say for some time he was having a rift with a senior administrative officer of PGI, and due to this he decided to go back to Delhi.This is the shortest term served by a financial officer in the PGI.

He pointed out that public awareness could improve survival rates. Principal secretary Alok Kumar highlighted hands-on training for recognizing cardiac arrest and using an automated external defibrillator.
