Class 12 student accuses man of raping her

Rajkot: A Class 12 student, aged 21, has accused a food shop owner in Rajkot of befriending her, promising marriage, then raping her multiple times.
The woman lodged a complaint against one Rizwan Mandariya at Pradyuman Nagar police station under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Atrocities Act.
According to police, the woman and Rizwan met at a garden and exchanged mobile numbers.On June 20, they travelled to Ajmer in a bus. "The next day, Mandariya raped her at a guesthouse. On June 22, he allegedly raped her on the sleeper bus while returning to Rajkot," stated the complaint.
According to the complaint, Mandariya assured her not to worry about a potential pregnancy. "Promising marriage, Mandariya raped her again in Rajkot. Later, he refused to marry her and insulted her caste," the complaint states. This led the woman to file a police complaint.

"The next day, Mandariya raped the girl at the guesthouse. Again, on June 22, he raped her on the sleeper coach bus while returning to Rajkot," stated the complaint.
According to the complaint, after reaching Rajkot, Mandariya assured her not to worry about potential pregnancy. "Promising marriage, Mandariya raped her again in Rajkot. Later, he refused to marry her and insulted her caste," stated the complaint. This prompted the student to file the police complaint.
