Pondicherry University invites applications for registrar post

PUDUCHERRY: Pondicherry University has invited applications online for the post of registrar, according to an advertisement posted by the university’s recruitment cell on its website.
The last date for submission of online applications is Sept 20 (before 5pm). The last date for receipt of hard copy is Sept 27.
The application fee for unreserved/ other backward class (non-creamy layer)/ economically weaker section candidates is Rs 2,000.The fee is Rs 1,000 for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and persons with benchmark disabilities candidates. Women candidates are exempted from paying application fees.
The candidates can visit the university's website -- recruitment.pondiuni.edu.in -- for details of minimum eligibility criteria, experience, general instructions, and terms and conditions to apply for the post.
The qualifications and other conditions prescribed in the advertisement are subject to the regulations/ norms stipulated by the Union education ministry/ University Grants’ Commission and other statutory bodies from time to time.
The university will not entertain offline applications under any circumstances.
The posts of registrar and finance officer that fell vacant more than four years ago were filled temporarily. Similarly, director (studies, educational innovations and rural reconstruction) K Tharanikkarasu was posted as vice-chancellor in charge after the extended tenure of Gurmeet Singh ended in November last year.
