Common merit list out for second round of engg admission
Indore: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has released the common merit list for the second round of engineering admissions. Aspiring students are required to report to their allocated colleges between September 3 and 6.
Renowned engineering institutions in the city anticipate that 90% of available seats will be filled during this round of counselling.

The final seat allotment for the second round will be announced on September 3.
“Similar to previous years, we expect around 90% of the seats to be filled in this round. Post-counselling, we anticipate 60-70 vacancies in civil, mechanical, and other branches, excluding Computer Science and Information Technology,” stated Prof Paresh Atri, admissions in charge at IET, DAVV.
Experts from engineering colleges recommend that students accept the seats allocated in the second round. They will have the option to participate in internal branch sliding from September 5 to 7. Additionally, college-level counselling is scheduled to commence from September 9, with students required to register online and report to their allotted colleges by September 12.
In the first round of admissions, over 75% of seats were filled at prestigious govt engineering colleges in Indore. SGS0ITS saw 870 out of 1,200 seats filled, while IET, DAVV reported 550 out of 700 seats occupied.
The second round of MBA admissions through CMAT and class 12 scores, conducted by DTE, will begin on September 1. The seat allotment for this round has been issued, with approximately 80% of seats in prominent govt colleges already filled. “Few seats remain for the second round, with some vacancies in reserved categories,” noted Yogendra Bawal from DAVV.
Similarly, SGSITS has seen about 80% seat occupancy in the MBA programme during the first round.

Students are required to give online consent by August 31, and seat allocation will be done on September 3. Private colleges will independently handle the filling of around 30,000 vacant seats.
