Shah Rukh Khan owned 2023 with his impeccable performances in films like Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. He made this thundering debut after a gap of four years, his last act being Zero in 2018. These major releases and his thriving businesses have led to the actor debuting in Hurun India's Rich List.
The actor has recorded an estimated wealth of Rs 7,300 crore, reports Economic Times.
The major contributor to his wealth is his ownership of the Kolkata Knight Riders, the reigning IPL champions, and his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. Apart from this, SRK also enjoys major brand standing, with an impressive 47 million Instagram followers.
The report further stated that Juhi Chawla, co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, follows Khan on the list with an estimated wealth of Rs 4,600 crore, earning her the second spot among Bollywood's richest stars. Actor Hrithik Roshan holds the third position with a net worth of Rs 2,000 crore, thanks in part to his thriving athleisure brand, HRX. Roshan also ranks second in social media influence, boasting 32.3 million followers on Twitter.
Recently Shah Rukh Khan attended the Locarno Film Festival 2024 where he received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Speaking at the event, he had shed light on the widespread popularity that he enjoys and stated, "Stardom is just a circumstantial, consequential by-product of this. It has nothing to do with me. Or them. Nothing to do with what I do or what they do. It’s a different thing. So I have never thought of stardom as important. Yes, I respect it a lot. It has given me a lot of recognition, respect, love, money, my family is happy for it. But beyond that, stardom is not what I carry as the first thing when I walk into a room. I have always said I wear stardom like a T-shirt, not a tuxedo. I’m careless about it. But if it’s not there, will this love go? I don’t think so.”
