Manipur CM N Biren Singh: 'Involvement of mercenaries from Myanmar likely in attack on security forces'
Guwahati: Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh indicated high possibility of involvement of mercenaries from Myanmar in Tuesday attack on security forces at the India-Myanmar border town of Moreh in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district in which seven security personnel—four Manipur Police commandos and three BSF men, were injured.
Singh said, “We suspect the involvement of mercenaries from Myanmar in today’s attack on the security forces at Moreh.

We will not succumb to this kind threat and we will take all possible countermeasures.”
He added, “The state government is in touch with the centre on the situation at Moreh and other parts of state.”
The injured security personnel have been airlifted to RIMS hospital at Imphal for treatment.
