"Heavy to very heavy rainfall and thunderstorms lightning and gusty winds are very likely at isolated places in Parbhani, Hingoli and Nanded districts on Tuesday. Before that, many parts of Marathwada are likely to witness light to medium rainfall for the next 24 hours," K K Dakhore, an agricultural meteorologist with Parbhani-based Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University said.
Irrigation department officials said, "We have our flood control room that keeps track of the rainfall and storage in dams. The water release is adjusted depending upon the rains by coordinating with districts."
