Ahmedabad: A forecast by the India Meteorological Department (
IMD) on Sunday indicated chances of heavy rains in parts of south Gujarat and light to moderate rains in several other districts from Wednesday onwards.
According to the forecast, heavy rains are very likely in Dangs, Tapi, Navsari, and Valsad from September 25 to 27. These days could also see light to moderate thundershowers in the majority of districts in the central and eastern regions of the state.
Meanwhile, the forecast indicated the possible withdrawal of the southwest
monsoon from parts of West Rajasthan and Kutch from Monday onwards.
In Ahmedabad, the maximum temperature at 35.7 degrees Celsius was 1.7 degrees higher than normal. The minimum temperature at 27.2 degrees was 2.2 degrees higher than normal.
