A grocery shop owner in Kurthal village, Muzaffarnagar, was stabbed to death by three brothers after an argument over a Rs 10 tobacco pouch. The incident took place around midnight when the intoxicated attackers used a spear-like object. Police have registered a murder case and are actively searching for the accused.

AGRA: A 48-year-old grocery shop owner was stabbed to death with a spear-like object by three brothers in an inebriated state, following a heated argument over the purchase of a Rs 10 tobacco pouch.
The incident happened in Kurthal village of Muzaffarnagar on Saturday night.
The incident took place around midnight when Tillu (26), Deepak (24) and Mangu (28) allegedly knocked on Kashyap's shop for a tobacco pouch.

Kashyap, who was sleeping inside, refused and a verbal altercation ensued.
The brothers initially left the scene, only to return later. They knocked on the door again and as soon as Kashyap opened, they allegedly attacked him with a spear-like object, critically injuring him. The assailants fled immediately after the attack. Kashyap was taken to hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Kashyap's brother, Sanjeev Kumar, then filed a police complaint against the accused, cops said.
DSP (Budhana), Gajendra Pal Singh, told TOI, "The body of the victim was sent for postmortem and a case under sections of murder has been registered. Two police teams have been formed to arrest the accused."
