CM hits out at Cong over foreign tours jab
Udaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday attacked Congress while refuting its allegations that he and his cabinet colleagues are on a needless spree of foreign tours.
Speaking to reporters during his visit to Angad Bavji temple at Narbadiya in Chittorgarh district, Sharma referred to the previous Congress govt and said when its ministers and MLAs “remained locked and had fun in hotels” but now the party is levelling accusations of touring on the BJP govt.

“Our ministers are visiting every dhani, village, and the entire state. They are not in hotels like the Congress leaders did. While Congress says this (allegations) by tweets, it should also see the tweets of their time and count how many tweets they had made. Before the elections, each of our workers went to the people,” said Sharma, who planted a sapling at Angad Bavji temple as part of the ongoing ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
The CM said all the promises made to the people of Rajasthan through BJP’s ‘sankalp patra’ would be fulfilled by his govt. He urged people to carry on the “virtuous act” of planting as many saplings as they can for future generations. He said the self-respect and valour of the people of Mewar is recognized in the entire country and the world.
Sharma reached Udaipur in the evening and went to Umarada, where he held a meeting with BJP functionaries and workers from Salumber and Chorasi assembly constituencies regarding the upcoming by-elections. State BJP president Madan Rathore and several other BJP functionaries were present at this meeting.
