While confirming his visit to Chamba-Doda interstate border, Abhishek Yadav said the aim is to review the security scenario and give further directions to enhance the security to avert any temerarious attempt by the
militants present in the neighbouring Doda district.
The sensitivity of the Chamba-Doda border stems from the historical events of August 3, 1998 ’Chamba Massacre’ in which Pak sponsored militants infiltrated from Doda into Chamba and brutally shot dead 35 migrant laborers in the villages of Kalaban and Satrundi in Chamba district.
