Rajkot: A five-year-old boy, Anand Meda, lost his life after drowning in a water pit while playing in Machhlivad village of Kalavad taluka of Jamnagar district. The incident occurred on Saturday evening around 5pm. The child was rushed to a nearby govt hospital but the attending doctor pronounced him dead upon arrival. Kalavad road police have registered a case of accidental death.
Initial police investigations revealed that the boy was residing with his family at Parakram Singh Jadeja’s farm in Machhlivad. The family originally hails from Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh.tnn
