JAMMU: Authorities have seized a four-storied commercial building and a vehicle belonging to a suspected drug dealer on Saturday in Rajouri district.
The combined value of the attached properties exceeds Rs 1.80 crore, according to a police spokesperson. The accused, identified as Vikal Chogga, was charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in the previous year.

The police allege that Chogga acquired the assets through illegal means by selling narcotics to young people in Rajouri town. "Vikal Chogga, who was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act last year, had illegally acquired the property by selling drugs to the youth in Rajouri town," the spokesperson stated.
Amritpal Singh, the senior superintendent of police in Rajouri, affirmed the department's dedication to eliminating the drug problem within the district. The attached properties include a business establishment located in the center of Rajouri city, valued at Rs 1.74 crore, and an automobile worth Rs 7 lakh.
