Jaipur: Congress functionary and former cabinet minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said the govt had postponed the polls because it fears defeat. “First the BJP govt cancelled the students’ union elections, and now, before the assembly by-elections, it has halted all elections for municipal bodies. BJP has not fulfilled a single promise it made during the assembly and Lok Sabha elections, which is why the govt does not want to face any elections,” he said.tnn
