Indore: Due to the damage caused to the culvert at Simrol on the Indore-Khandwa road following the incessant rainfall, the Indore Rural Police have made some changes to the routes for vehicles plying on this road.
As decided, heavy vehicles heading towards Khandwa from Indore can now use Teja Ji Nagar, Rau Chowraha, and then proceed towards Khargone via Manpur Khalghat.
Conversely, heavy vehicles coming from Khandwa will have to take the Badwah-Maheshwar road and then proceed to Khalghat bypass.
Light vehicles travelling from Indore can use the Teja Ji Nagar Chowraha and then take the route via Kanad Datoda village, Memdi village, and Simrol Talai naka Chowraha to reach the Khandwa road.
It is estimated that the construction of the damaged culvert in Simrol will take approximately 8-10 days. Therefore, travellers using this road are advised to adhere to the revised routes to avoid any inconvenience.
