Nilgiris collector distributes welfare aid
Udhagamandalam: Nilgiris collector Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru on Monday distributed welfare aid to 28 beneficiaries.
Beneficiaries were extended several welfare measures, from various govt departments to the tune of 60,000.
The collector also handed over a relief amount of 2 lakh to the family of Riswan Ansari, a construction worker from Jharkhand who died in Ooty on March 13.

The relief amount was issued from the chief minister’s general relief fund.
Later, the collector received 227 petitions from the public as part of the grievance day programme. She instructed officials concerned to prioritise petitions relating to basic amenities.
