YSRCP clinches MLC seat without contest
Visakhapatnam: YSRCP’s Botsa Satyanarayana, was declared winner of MLC for local bodies as independent candidate, Sheik Shafiullah, withdrew his nomination ahead of the poll scheduled on August 30.
The NDA alliance chose not to participate in the election.
Returning officer and joint collector K Mayur Ashok announced Botsa as the winner.
A certificate of victory was given to Botsa in the presence of YSRCP functionaries, including Rajya Sabha member Golla Babu Rao, Vizag Mayor G Hari Venkata Kumari, MLCs Suresh Babu, Varudu Kalyani, Kumbha Ravibabu, ZP Chairperson J Subhadra, and former MLAs Gudivada Amaranth, Kannababu Raju, Dharmasri, Adeep Raj, Tippala Nagireddy, and Kambala Jogulu.

Satyanarayana, expressed his delight in receiving the news on the auspicious day of Varalakshmi Vratam, the second Sravana Sukravaram. He pledged to work alongside all parties to contribute to the state's development.
