TIRUPATI: Former trust board member of the
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, AJ Sekhar Reddy, donated a sum of Rs 1 crore to the chief minister's flood relief fund.
AJ Sekhar met CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu at the latter's residence at Undavalli in Amaravati capital city on Tuesday and handed over his donation in the form of a cheque.
AJ Sekhar is credited with being nominated to the
TTD trust board both during the
TDP as well as the YSRCP regimes in the past.
During his tenure as the TTD board member, AJ Sekhar played a significant role in the construction of the Goddess Padmavathi Ammavari temple at T. Nagar in Chennai.
He is also playing a key role in executing TTD's expansion plans at the existing Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple cum information centre at T. Nagar by spending Rs 150 crore, out of which AJ Sekhar has promised to secure Rs 75 crore in the form of donations for the Tirupati trust.
