History-sheeter arrested as part of ‘Operation Agazhi’

Trichy-based history-sheeter Michael Suresh was apprehended for illegal possession of land documents and arms during 'Operation Agazhi'. He was nabbed while returning from Puducherry. Earlier searches at his residence led to the seizure of 66 original documents, a sword, and 31 IMFL bottles. His accomplices were also detained.

TRICHY: A Trichy-based history-sheeter was arrested for illegal possession of land documents and arms, here on Monday.
A special team of police under the ‘Operation Agazhi', an operation launched against land grabbing nabbed Michael Suresh alias Pattarai Suresh, 45, when he was returning to Trichy from Puducherry in an SUV.
Police had already seized 66 original documents, a 1.75ft long sword and 31 IMFL bottles from the house of Suresh on Sept 20 during a search operation.

On Saturday, the team arrested his accomplices S Ramadass, 21, from Navalurkuttapattu and P Kumar, 28, from Woraiyur who were hiding with the weapons in a cattle shed at the house of Suresh.
Police teams were on the lookout for Suresh who was absconding. They managed to catch him on Monday and produced him in court.
