HC’s criticism a slap on govt’s face: Surendran

Thiruvananthapuram: The high court observations against LDF govt sitting on the Justice Hema Committee report was a slap on its face, said BJP state president K Surendran on Tuesday. The court's observation that govt's attitude was dubious exposed the true colour of the govt, Surendran said in a statement.
It was with govt's help that M Mukesh MLA could obtain bail in the sexual harassment case, alleged Surendran."The case was registered against the MLA under bailable offences. Later, the MLA was arrested and let free on bail. This was nothing but a farce. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan should at least now tell the people why he sat on the Hema Committee report for five years," he said.
Atrocities against women under Pinarayi Vijayan's rule was a national record, he added.
