BJP demands central probe into allegations
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K Surendran stated that the serious allegations made by MLA PV Anwar against ADGP M R Ajith Kumar and the chief minister's political secretary P Sasi were not matters to be resolved in a closeted conversation between the chief minister and Anwar.
Addressing the media in New Delhi on Wednesday, Surendran stressed that these allegations are too significant to be treated as a personal issue between Vijayan and Anwar or as an internal CPM matter.

"These are not issues to be resolved through discussions between the Chief Minister and CPM leaders. The allegations made by Anwar are serious and have significant ramifications for the state," he said.
He asserted that the accusations, which include phone tapping, gold smuggling, narcotics trafficking, quotation gangs, and murder warrant an investigation by a central agency. Surendran also questioned why the CPM Central Committee and politburo members from the state have remained silent on the allegations and asked on what grounds the chief minister is attempting to reach a compromise with Anwar.
