Thane: A 25-year-old Mankhurd resident tragically ended his life by hurling himself in front of a speeding mail express train at Thane railway station, following a failed romantic relationship, said officials.
“Fellow passengers alerted us that he was walking towards the CSMT end of the platform and lingered for a while before spotting an approaching mail express train.
He then leaped into its path onto the tracks and got crushed under its wheels,” informed Archana Dusane, senior inspector at the Thane railway police.
The police discovered a suicide note from the pocket of the deceased, where he mentioned that he was resorting to this drastic measure following a failed relationship. The railway police has registered an accidental death case. tnn
