Fresh snowfall in parts of Kashmir; IMD predicts light rain on Sunday

SRINAGAR: The higher reaches of Gulmarg and Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall, while the plains of the valley were hit by rains, as per MeT officials on Saturday.
Gulmarg, a renowned ski resort in north Kashmir, and Pahalgam in south Kashmir received significant snowfall. Gurez in Bandipora district and Drass town in Ladakh also witnessed fresh snow.
The plains, including Srinagar, encountered continuous rainfall till morning.
The Meteorological Department mentioned that the weather will be partly to generally cloudy, with chances of light to moderate rain or snow in most places and heavy precipitation in isolated areas during the night.
Sunday might see intermittent light rain or snow in a few spots, followed by dry weather until April 5.
'The weather forecast indicates a mix of rain and snow in the region,' stated the officials.
