Ranchi: The Jharkhand HC on Tuesday pulled up state govt and issued contempt notices to the chief secretary, tourism secretary and Deoghar deputy commissioner in a contempt petition filed by Godda MP Nishikant Dubey.
Dubey in his contempt petition has exposed the inaction of the govt officials in not being able to construct the queue complex in the Baba Baidyanath temple in Deoghar.
The parliamentarian through his petition informed the court that the govt on earlier dates had assured the court to complete the queue complex construction but had failed in it’s endeavour.
The govt had filed a show cause notice in the matter and informed the court that the queue complex was earlier supposed to be constructed by way of CSR of a private company. But in the notice the govt said that the queue complex cannot be made through the CSR mode.
Dubey informed the court of Acting Chief Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Arun Kumar Rai that the second phase of the queue complex in Baba Baidyanath Mandir in Deoghar has been proposed by Navyug Company as part of it’s CSR.
He said the queue complex construction is pegged at Rs 120 crore which the company has offered to pay. The file has been kept pending for approval and acceptance by govet for long, Dubey said in the petition.
Govt has sat over the issue for 10 months despite the order of the court to decide the matter. The bench has posted the case to be heard on October 16.
