PALANPUR: Organs from a 64-year-old brain-dead person in Palanpur town of Banaskantha gave a new lease of life to at least three persons. The deceased, Dineshchandra Makwana, had suffered a brain haemorrhage after a road accident on Sep 8 and was declared brain-dead on Monday night.
The private hospital in Palanpur, where Makwana was admitted, successfully coordinated his organ donation on Tuesday.

The donated organs, which include his eyes, kidneys, and liver, will provide a new life to critical patients, a statement from Mavjat Hospital in Palanpur said.
"These organs will now be transplanted into patients who are critically ill, giving them a renewed opportunity to live," said Dr Jayesh Bavishi, chairman of the private hospital.
He added that after Makwana was declared brain-dead, his family decided to donate the organs. "Their selfless act will benefit critical patients," Dr Bavishi said.
