Gang leader, four accomplices face GUJCTOC charges in Kodinar
Rajkot: The Gujarat Control of Organized Crime Act (GUJCTOC) has been invoked against five history sheeters. Inspector Arvindsinh Jadeja, in charge of Gir Somnath Local Crime Branch, lodged a case against Mahesh Makwana, Rahim alias Bhuro Ghanchi, Haresh Koli, Ramesh Koli and Munaf alias Munno Sipai at Kodinar police station.
Mahesh Makwana, the 43-year-old gang leader, has been arrested for his involvement in various offences, including violations of the Arms Act, mineral theft, assault, rioting, extortion and obstructing govt officials.

Ten cases were lodged against him between 2014 to 2024 at Kodinar police station.
Haresh Koli, 42, has eight cases against him in the Gir Somnath district while Ramesh Koli, 40, has five cases at Kodinar police station alone. Munaf Sipai has three cases lodged against him at Kodinar in the past 10 years, while authorities are still searching for Rafik alias Bhuro Ghanchi, who has 15 cases registered against him at Kodinar police station from 2015 to 2024.
