Chhattisgarh emerges as winners in CBSE Far East Zone Skating Competition 2024

Chhattisgarh won the CBSE Far East Zone Skating Competition 2024 with a total of 74 medals, including 28 Gold. Odisha and West Bengal secured second and third places respectively. Held in Raipur from September 13 to 16, the competition featured skaters from twelve states across various age groups.

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh emerged as the winners with the highest 74 medals, including 28 Gold, at the CBSE Far East Zone Skating Competition 2024. Besides gold medals, Chhattisgarh bagged 24 Silver and 22 Bronze medals in the competition. With a total of 48 medals, including 14 Gold ,15 Silver and 19 Bronze , Odisha won the runner up trophy while West Bengal secured the third position with 36 medals including 13 Gold, 13 Silver and 10 Bronze.

The North East bagged a total of 26 medals including 12 Gold,8 silver and 6 bronze.
CBSE Far East Zone Skating Competition 2024

The Competition, which was organised in Raipur’s KPS from September 13 to 16, registered participation of 1157 skaters from 12 states – Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Odisha, Sikkim, West Bengal, and the hosts Chhattisgarh. Skaters of different age groups ranging from 9 to 19 years participated and showcased their prowess.
The competition was divided into two parts - Quad Wheel Base and Inline Wheel Base. To ensure the safety of participants, a nursing team and ambulance were present on the ground to handle any emergency situations.
The gold medalists of the competition in various age group and categories are Sarnya Khatnikar, Riddhiman Benji, Radhika Kejriwal, Barenya Ranjan Acharya, Manshweta Kanwar, Eric Singh, Riyansh Raj, Aadya Tripathi, Mausam Deka, Arya Singh, Madhur Jayaraj Chaudhary, Swarnaraaj, Ayush Bhatia, Poorva Thakur, Mohammad Aahil, Avika Gupta, Augustya Khutel, Jayastu Sardar, Aadya Tripathi, Prajatika Sabar, Swati Tripathi, Utkarsh Kumar, Aahan Agarwal, Arab Patnaik, Arya Singh, Smriti Kujjur, Rishita Mandal, Himanish Chaudhary, Madhuryaraj Chaudhary, Debanga Nishi Bhargav, Tripada Gupta, Saanvi Tiwari, Riddhima Day, Harsh Meghani, Prachurya Bahruh , Aryan Prasad, Samridhi Sharma, Poorva Thakur, Harshita Paul, and Mohammad Aahil Dwivedi.
The competition was organised by CBSE in association with Roller Skating Federation of India. The winners of the road race were awarded by Durg SP Jitendra Shukla.
