Patna: Two bodies, including that of a retired home guard, were found at separate locations in Danapur on Saturday. Police took the bodies into custody and sent them to the sub-divisional hospital for postmortem examination.
The body of a 62-year-old retired home guard, identified as Shivdatt Kumar Singh from Sigori police station area of Paliganj, was found near the dilapidated quarters of the sub-divisional hospital in Danapur.
According to Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj, SHO of Danapur police station, Singh had been driving a vehicle for Danapur police station before retirement. “After retirement, he was staying near the hospital and slept on a cart. Locals said Singh had gone to sleep on Friday night but did not wake up the next morning. They informed the police and he was taken to the hospital,” Bhardwaj added.
In another incident, the body of a 45-year-old man was found in a drain near the Veterinary Hospital at Bibiganj. “The deceased was identified as Raju Rajak, a rag-picker from Bibiganj under Danapur police station,” Danapur SHO Prashant Bhardwaj said.
