Patna: A collection agent of Masaurhi Nagar Parishad was shot at by two men at a vegetable market in the Patna district subdivision on Sunday.
Injured Nityanand Singh, alias Pahalwan, was first admitted to the Masaurhi subdivisional hospital, from where the doctors referred him to Patna Medical College Hospital. Masaurhi subdivisional police officer Nabh Vaibhav said that one of the shooters, Munna Kumar, was arrested within two hours of the incident and raids are going on to nab the other accused.
“They fired at Singh following a dispute over collection,” he said. A police team had reached the spot soon after getting information about the incident and started an investigation, during which they recovered a bullet shell.
