Patna: Patna police arrested three sharpshooters—Rohan Kumar, Ujjwal Kumar and Prashant Kumar alias Badshah—from a house in Digha Haat on Sunday morning, while they were planning to carry out a major crime. Two pistols and a country-made gun and 13 bullets and two 315 bore bullets were recovered from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Digha police conducted a raid in the house of one Mantu Kumar in Yaduvanshi Nagar, where three criminals had assembled to commit a crime under Digha PS area.
However, their plan was foiled by the police.
City SP (Central) Chandra Praaksh told mediapersons on Sunday that Rohan along with his associates Badshah and Ujjwal had shot at one Mithilesh Kumar Singh at Araap village under Bikram police station area on August 22. “After carrying out the crime, they were hiding in Yaduvanshi Nagar and planning to commit another crime. All the accused have criminal records,” he said.
Cases of murder and attempt to murder and arms Act were registered against Ujjwal in Danapur, Bihta, Dhanarua and Bikram police stations, he said.
