Tech Glitch: Metro Aqua Line Halted for 2 Hours
Nagpur: After the city was drenched in rains on Tuesday afternoon, Metro services were halted on the Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro for two hours after a technical glitch. The Metro train, which departed from Lokmanya Nagar, encountered an issue upon reaching Shankar Nagar station, where all commuters were deboarded and transferred to another train.
A MahaMetro official told TOI, "The stoppage happened between 2.25pm and 4.25pm, after which all services were restored to normal.

However, the exact reason behind the technical glitch has not been found yet and the investigation is still ongoing."
The official added that six Metro trips were cancelled on the Aqua Line. Additionally, nine trains on the up line, from Sitabuldi Interchange to Lokmanya Nagar station, and six trains on the down line were impacted by the technical glitch. There were no disruptions on the Orange line.
The Metro rake which faced the technical error was then transferred to the pocket track to allow the other trains on the track to continue with their journey. A pocket track is a short section of track off the main line, located between the two tracks, used to temporarily store trains or allow them to reverse direction without disrupting other services.
This is the third time this year that Metro services have been disrupted. Previous disruptions were caused by heavy rainfall leading to OHE malfunctions, and a torn banner becoming entangled in the overhead equipment.
