Two killed in separate accidents

Mangaluru: A man succumbed to his injuries after his scooter skidded, causing him to fall off. The deceased is Choma,40. According to a complaint filed by his brother Sheenappa, a resident of Kodimbala village, Kadaba taluk, the incident occurred on Tuesday night at Bedraje in Kodimbala village.
Upon receiving information about the accident, Sheenappa rushed to the scene and found Choma severely injured.With the assistance of locals, Choma was taken to the Kadaba Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead. The victim owned a petty shop. According to police, the accident occurred while he was returning home on his scooter, and he may have lost control of the vehicle. A case has been registered at the Kadaba police station.
Pedestrian run over by car
In another accident reported from Belthangady, a pedestrian died after he was hit by a speeding car from the rear on Monday. The deceased is Anand,47. In a complaint, the victim's sister-in-law Lakshmi, a resident of Padangadi village, Belthangady, stated that the incident occurred when he was walking along the road at Honnekatte in Padangadi village.
Anand fell onto the road and sustained severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to the Belthangady Govt Hospital for treatment. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, he was then referred to Wenlock District Hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment. However, Anand succumbed to his injuries on the way. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at the Belthangady traffic police station.
