Mangaluru: A man was found dead in a van on Monday. The deceased is
Manohar, aged around 40, police said. In a complaint, Vishwanath KV,58, from Kallumutlu in Sullia Kasaba, stated that he had purchased a minivan from PR Mohammed seven years ago. Since he could not take the van to his house, he routinely parked it by the roadside near Sneha School. On Sept 12, he had parked the van at the same location, but due to its age, the door lock was in poor condition.
On Monday evening, Vishwanath received a call from Guruvappa, a neighbour, who informed him of something suspicious near the parked minivan.
When Vishwanath arrived, he found the decomposed body of an unidentified man, later identified as Manohar, inside the vehicle. Police suspect that Manohar may have died from alcohol consumption or cardiac arrest, or another unknown cause. A case has been registered at Sullia police station.
