Student booked for blackmailing classmate with vulgar post

Lucknow: A cyber bully posted objectionable photos of a girl student on her Instagram account and demanded Rs 1 lakh to delete the post. The girl studies in a city school and her elder sister lodged the complaint with police.
As per the complainant, on Sep 2, some objectionable photos and videos of the girl were being sent on Instagram and Rs 1 lakh was being demanded to delete the photos.
"A student's mobile number was used for this act and I got this information from my sister's classmate, who disclosed the name when I talked about filing a police case," the girl's sister said, adding, "The accused was in class 11. After some time, the photos and videos were sent to others too. My sister is so upset, she even attempted to end her life. The miscreants are committing this crime in a social media group," she alleged.
The complainant requested that appropriate action be taken so that her sister can live with grace.
