CM assures meeting with advocates next week
Kolhapur: A meeting of advocates was held on Saturday at Maha Sainik Darbar hall in Kolhapur city by the circuit bench action committee to plan the protest for setting up a circuit bench of Bombay High Court in Kolhapur.
Over two thousand advocates from six districts—Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Solapur, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg—participated in this conference.

In the meeting, it was decided to give a 10-day ultimatum to chief minister Eknath Shinde to meet the delegation of advocates from six districts. Sangram Desai, a member of the Maharashtra and Goa Bar Council from Sindhudurg district, informed the cabinet minister of ministry of industries Uday Samant about the ultimatum.
A call was then immediately made between CM Eknath Shinde and Desai in the same meeting. He assured to meet the delegation of the circuit Bench Action Committee the next week. President of Kolhapur District Bar Association and convener of the action committee, advocate Sarjerao Khot, said, “Three resolutions were also passed in the meeting. The first was to meet CM Shinde in the next 10 days, the second was to hold a rally on Aug 22 at all tehsils and district collectorates from 6 districts for the Circuit Bench demand, and the third was to upload the statement on the chief minister's portal.”
