Ernakulam District Ayurveda Hospital bags green protocol certificate

Kochi: District Ayurveda Hospital at Kacheripady bagged the green protocol certificate issued by Haritha Keralam Mission (HKM). The hospital has been following green protocol by completely avoiding disposable items made of paper, plastic and thermocol, minimizing waste generation, reusing organic waste, scientifically processing inorganic waste and ensuring water and energy conservation.
Hospital staff, patients and visitors were given awareness about HKM's message ‘Clean Kerala, Sustainable Kerala'.Cleanliness was maintained in the surroundings. Certificate distribution will be held at the hospital on Monday at an event presided over by district panchayat president Manoj Moothedan.
The event will be inaugurated by T J Vinod, MLA, who will present the certificate to chief medical officer Dr Sharmad Khan. HKM district coordinator S Ranjini will explain the project.
