Scores of BJYM workerstake part in Tiranga Yatra
Kanpur: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) North organised a Tiranga Yatra in the city on Tuesday, which was graced by deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya as the chief guest.
The resplendent Tricolor Yatra commenced from the Essel Palace of Govind Nagar in the afternoon, reverberating with the fervent slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram'.

The procession traversed through Sindhi Colony Shastri Nagar, Sant Nagar Gumti No. 5, before turning to Darshanpurwa and culminating at the Sarva Dharam Chowk Darshanpurwa.
Thousands of Yuva Morcha workers, riding on scooters, motorcycles, and marching on foot, carrying the tricolour flags and chanting slogans participated in the yatra.
During the closing ceremony, deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya delivered a message, asserting that the tricolour flag represents not only the strength of 140 crore people but also the might of their arms. He declared that if the enemy dares to cast an evil eye towards the nation, their eye will be gouged out. "We possess the unwavering resolve to lay down our lives for the unity and integrity of our beloved country and also possess the courage to take the life of the enemy," he proclaimed.
Kanpur-Bundelkhand BJYM president Prakash Pal emphasised the importance of hoisting the tricolour in every household on the auspicious occasion of 15th August, reminding everyone that it was on the basis of this tricolour that the British were compelled to leave India.
Prior to the commencement of the Tricolour Yatra, the statue of Rani Lakshmi Bai was cleaned and adorned with garlands at the Rawatpur intersection. The event witnessed the presence of people such as MP Ramesh Awasthi and MLA Surendra Maithani.
