Good behaviour to fetch marks now
Jaipur: Students in govt schools in the state will now be given marks as part of their internals for good behaviour and taking care of trees planted under ‘Ek Ped Ma K Naam’ campaign.

Students will be awarded between 14 to 22 marks for these activities as per the proposal of the education department.
“This initiative by the department aims to improve both the academic level and behaviour of students in Rajasthan. Along with the third test and projects, students will now also get marks for tree planting and good behaviour. This will not only enhance their academic performance but also contribute to their overall development,” said education minister Madan Dilawar.
Officials said students are already tested on their behaviour in class as part of the internal assessment.
“From each subject like ,aths, English, and Hindi, one mark out of the 20 marks of internal assessment will be given based on the behaviour of the child and how they take care of trees planted by them or encourage more people to plant trees. This will be monitored by teachers.
