Nine Indore industrialists & families in Hurun India Rich List

Indore: Nine industrialists and their families from Indore have featured in the Hurun India Rich List released on Thursday.
The 2024 Hurun India Rich List revealed nine industrialists, including family-run businesses, in the list of the richest people from Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Hurun Report is a leading research, luxury publishing, and event group established in London in 1998, its website showed.It has a presence across several countries, and the India vertical was launched in 2012.
Vinod Kumar Agarwal and family top the list of the richest people in Indore with an estimated wealth of Rs 7,100 crore. Another firm owned by Vinod Kumar Agarwal and family, working in the construction sector with a net worth of Rs 1,700 crore, has secured the fifth position in the list.
“I am committed to making India the third-largest economy in the world and also Indore one of the top cities in India,” said Vinod Agarwal, MD, Agarwal Coal Corporation Pvt.
Shyamsunder Gendalal Mundra and family from Indore are the second wealthiest industrialist family in Indore with a net worth of Rs 3,500 crore. Dinesh Patidar and family, with a wealth of Rs 3,400 crore, have secured the tag of the third wealthiest person in Indore, according to the Hurun India Rich List.
Sunil Chordia and family, with a net worth of Rs 2,100 crore, are the fourth richest. Vimal Todi and family are the sixth wealthiest at Rs 1,500 crore. Nitin Agrawal is at the seventh rank with Rs 1,300 crore wealth. Sunil Patidar & family, at Rs 1,200 crore, are in the eighth position, and Gaurav Anand and family are in the tenth position with Rs 1,000 crore wealth.
India’s billionaire count has touched 334 according to the 2024 Hurun India Rich List.
