Small village in Mizoram reports 132 pig deaths

AIZAWL: ASF claimed the lives of 181 more pigs on Saturday with 132 deaths reported in a small village (Khawruhlian) in eastern Aizawl alone, animal husbandry and veterinary department officials said.
This has taken the toll due to ASF infections this year to 5,869, while 167 villages and localities in urban areas have been affected so far. The fresh casualties were reported from Aizawl, southern Mizoram's Lunglei and central Serchhip districts.
At least 126 pigs were culled in Aizawl, Serchhip and Khawzawl districts.
