NEW DELHI: The results of the Nagaland election have been announced, with S Supongmeren Jamir of the Indian National Congress emerging as the winner, securing 401951 votes. This marks an increase of 50984 votes compared to the previous election.
Dr Chumben Murry of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party came in second place, losing by a margin of 50984 votes.
Murry received a total of 350967 votes in this election.

Hayithung Tungoe Lotha, an independent candidate, finished in third place with 6232 votes, a significant decrease of 395719 votes compared to the previous election. The "None of the Above" (NOTA) option received 1646 votes, which is a decrease of 400305 votes from the last election.

Yepthemi received 5,94,205 votes, while Apok Jamir from the Naga Peoples Front (NPF) got 4,20,459 votes.
