AIZAWL: At least 163 more refugees belonging to 41 families from Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh entered Mautlang village in Lawngtlai district on Friday. This village lies on the Mizoram-Bangladesh-Myanmar trijunction.
The refugees, belonging to the Bawm community which identifies itself as Kuki-Chins, fled Bangladesh due to continued violent clashes between the Bangladesh Army and the Kuki-Chin National Army (KNA) in Chittagong Hill Tracts.

The KNA is an underground armed organisation fighting for greater autonomy for the Kuki-Chin community living in the CHT.
District (Lawngtlai) officials on Saturday said the refugees comprise 57 male adults, 48 female adults and 58 children.
