Dibrugarh cop foils colleague’s suicide bid, sustains bullet injury
Dibrugarh: The in charge (IC) of Bogibeel Police Outpost in Dibrugarh district, sub-inspector Tirtha Chetry, sustained a bullet injury in his hand while trying to prevent a constable from dying by suicide. The incident took place at the Bogibeel Police Outpost on Saturday when constable Pranjal Bora attempted to take his own life with his service rifle following a domestic dispute.

Chetry was rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Bora was taken into custody by his fellow policemen. tnn
