Berhampur: Trial run of Tatanagar-Berhampur Vande Bharat Express was successfully conducted on Sunday. The train is scheduled to be flagged off by
Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Tatanagar on Sept 15 during his visit to Jharkhand.
The train departed from Tatanagar at 5.20 am and reached Berhampur at 2.15 pm, about 15 minutes before its scheduled time, said a senior railway officer.
The return journey began at 3 pm from Berhampur, with its arrival in Tatanagar likely at 11.55 pm, sources said. The train is scheduled to run six days a week, except Tuesday.
As per the schedule, the semi-high speed train will take 9 hours and 10 minutes to cover 586 km from Tatanagar to Berhampur. For the return trip, the train will take 8 hours and 55 minutes. The train will halt at Bansapani, Nayagarh, Kendujhargarh, Harichandanpur, Jakhapura, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road and Balugaon in the state. It will be the fourth Vande Bharat train to pass through Odisha, after the Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar, Puri-Rourkela and Puri-Howrah trains.
