23-yr-old raped on marriage lure

Bhopal: A 23-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her school friend on the pretext of marriage. Recently, when the accused refused to marry her, the woman approached Mahila Thana police and lodged a complaint. Acting on her complaint, police registered a case on Thursday and started investigations.
Police said that the complainant is a final-year student of homeopathy at a city college.She stated in her complaint that the accused, Prafulla Meena, was her batch-mate at school.
Police said that the woman alleged that in 2021, the accused, Prafulla, took her to a hotel in TT Nagar and raped her. When she protested, the accused promised to marry her. Since then, he had been physically exploiting her physically. Recently, when she asked him to marry her, he refused. She reported the matter to police. Further investigations are on.
