Woman raped by neighbour in Jehangirabad

Bhopal: A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her neighbour at his home in Jehangirabad. Police on Thursday registered a rape case against the accused and started investigations.
Police said that the complainant is a home-maker. Her husband works in a private firm. She stated in her complaint that the accused, Ravi Shaqya, 26, lives in her neighbourhood.Being neighbours, the woman was acquainted with him and frequently visited his home.
Police said that the woman alleged that in May, when she had gone to Ravi's home to borrow some item, he pounced on her on finding her alone and raped her. When she protested, he threatened to kill her daughter and repeatedly raped her. When her husband got suspicious about her relations with Ravi, a dispute took place between them, and she went to her maternal home to stay. She narrated the incident to her mother and later reported the matter to the police.
