MLA Muniratna in SIT custody

Bengaluru: A special court for elected representatives in the city on Tuesday handed over BJP MLA from RR Nagar, Muniratna Naidu, to the custody of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe the three cases registered against him, till Oct 5. The SIT had on Monday approached the 42nd ACMM court, seeking his custody.
Muniratna faces three cases: the first for allegedly hurling casteist abuses at an ex-corporator; the second, demanding bribe from a BBMP contractor and third, repeatedly raping a 40-year-old woman for two years and using her to honeytrap some persons.
